At KryptoCard, we encourage users to follow good usage practices to minimize declined transactions and avoid unnecessary fees or account issues. Before attempting any transaction, please review the following guidelines:
1. Ensure Your Card is Active
Check the status of your KryptoCard before making a payment to ensure it is not frozen or reported lost.
Important Notes:
If you’ve subscribed to a service using your KryptoCard, freezing or reporting the card as lost does not stop the merchant from attempting to charge you. If the card is inactive at the time of the attempt, the transaction will be declined.
Regularly review your active subscriptions. If you no longer use a service, log in to your account with the merchant and unlink your card to prevent unwanted or repeated charges.
2. Ensure Sufficient Account Balance
Always verify your available balance before making a purchase.
Keep a buffer for transaction fees. For example, if your card balance is exactly $100, and you attempt a $100 transaction, it may fail due to insufficient funds for processing fees.
3. Verify Merchant Compatibility
Before using your KryptoCard, confirm that the merchant is supported and falls under the allowed usage scenario for your card type.
If your transaction is declined, double-check whether the platform or merchant accepts cards from your region or with your billing address.
4. Understand Merchant Policies
Even if a merchant generally supports KryptoCard, specific rules or restrictions may apply depending on the platform’s policies, payment processor, or product type.
⚠️ Avoid Repeated Failed Transactions
If your card is declined by a specific merchant, do not attempt the same transaction multiple times. Repeating failed transactions can trigger fraud detection and may result in your card being frozen or permanently suspended—especially after three consecutive failed attempts with the same merchant.
