What’s the Difference Between Wallet Balance and Card Balance?

Updated over 3 months ago

Understanding the difference between your KryptoCard Wallet Balance and Card Balance helps you manage your funds more effectively.

💼 Wallet Balance

  • This is the total amount of funds stored in your KryptoCard account.

  • It acts as your main funding source.

  • You can use it to:

    • Top-up any of your issued cards

    • Buy new cards

    • Pay transaction or service fees

  • Wallet balance is not directly spendable—you must load funds onto a card to use them for purchases.

💳 Card Balance

  • This is the amount available on an individual card.

  • It’s the spendable balance you can use for online payments, subscriptions, or in-store purchases (depending on card type).

  • Each card has its own balance, separate from your wallet and from other cards.

🔄 Example:
If you have $500 in your wallet and you load $100 onto a new Visa card, your wallet balance becomes $400, and your Visa card balance is now $100.
